| Bio: | Welcome to the newest incarnation of my LiveJournal blogging - Nerd!Fury. My name is Blake, I am I currently reside in my own place on the richer side of the tracks in the glorious City of Adelaide, in South Australia. Online, I use the monikers of Shiro, Shiro Senshi or Shiro Senshi Esquire - these I created during a short phase where I was largely obsessed with Japan and Japanese culture. Unlike my previous online aliases, created during obsessions with Egyptian mythology and English mythology, these ones I decided to not delete, having had the aliases for about five years, I figure that instead of changing it to any new obsession, I'll just leave it as it is to save the effort of changing a million online things. Nerd!Fury was created largely because I like it, and because I'm tired of having all those many posts from 2004 onwards untagged and open for all to see, being too lazy to go through every. single. one. of. them and updating it to Friends Only. Also, it means that all those irritating individuals that read my LJ, whom I don't want reading my LJ, will unable to read said LJ. I have a permanent full-time position for an ISP, deliving pornography down the intartube delivery system and stapling grammatically-incorrect statements to cats. On occasion, I man the MemeSheep station and create amusing new memes for /b/ and LJ. When I'm not at work I'm generally at home. I spend most of my (free) time reading novels, mangas and comics, writing (when I get the inspiration), playing video games (PC, PS2 and PS3), watching DVDs, listening to music and working on my Storyverse, known as Agyrica. Currently - Reading: White Knight - Jim Butcher. Writing: Not as much as I'd hope. I can't really be bothered right now and have no inspiration. I am, however, slowly working on details for my Storyverse, Agyrica. Also working on my new website. Playing: Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3), On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness - e1 (PC). Watching: A Town Called Eureka (s1), Darkwing Duck (s1). I'm generally a very odd person. I like pirates, ninjas, Cthulhu and Doctor Who. I love old cartoons, like Alias the Jester and Count Duckula and old TV shows like McGyver and The A-Team. Life with my friends is a long string of movie and TV references and in-jokes. People tend to think I'm quirky, or a freak. I am also painfully logical, and can recall things you'd assume I'd forgotten for years to come. On that note, I'm generally a very snarky person. A lot of people in the past have taken this to be negative or hateful, but I am neither. I'm just cynical. Yes, there are things I like, even love and enjoy. People also tend to be under the belief that I don't have anything nice to say about anything - I do like that they provide me with someone to laugh at. I also like kittens. And duckies. Though I do dislike many things, the biggest ones tend to include sore losers; boastful winners; people that make no attempt at correct spelling and grammar; emo kids; lounge-chair activists/complainers; people that honestly believe that they're right, when they aren't; people that use terms like narcissist, conformist, sheep, capitalist or fascist when describing myself or others; people that have 'friending criteria,' for people that want to be on their friends list and people that won't buy from or have some sort of unjustified dislike for large corporations. I usually post random accounts of my day. Sometimes some amusing conversation. Sometimes links. No pretentious and wanky lyrics or poems (until I find something I really like), and very few memes.
